Michael Waterstone Testifies Before U.S. Senate
Board member Michael Waterstone, associate professor at Loyola Law School, testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on Aging in Washington, DC. Michael testified on the challenges faced by older voters and voters with disabilities. When the Chairman of the Committee, Herb Kohl (D-WI) introduced him, he noted that Michael was a board member of the DRLC. Click to view webcast
MTO Fellows Program
Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP, recently announced their Fellows Program, which offers up to four full-time paid positions at their Los Angeles office to recent college graduates interested in pursuing a law career. Students will receive valuable experience and training at a prestigious law firm. Board member Charles D. Global Disability and Poverty
Syracuse University's Burton Blatt Institute and the World Bank have partnered together to reduce poverty for the 400 million people who have disabilities in developing countries. Peter Blanck, Ph.D., J.D., Chairman of the Burton Blatt Institute and DRLC Board member, notes this collaborative effort will "help further accelerate the inclusion of people with disabilities into the social and economic mainstream.” Read press release
