Josephine Lee-Nozaki, Esq., Litigation Attorney

Josie Lee-Nozaki is a Litigation Attorney with the Civil Rights Litigation Project of the Disability Rights Legal Center. Ms. Lee-Nozaki’s practice focuses on high-impact cases affecting the rights of people with disabilities, including cases involving physical access and accommodations, special education, and the rights of children with disabilities in the juvenile justice systems.
Prior to law school, Ms. Lee-Nozaki worked in New York City and London as a senior product manager for the former J.P. Morgan & Co., Inc., and has extensive experience in technology start-up companies. In 2007, Ms. Lee-Nozaki was a Loyola Law School Public Interest Fellow with the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, where she participated on a case of first impression in California involving the rights of people with disabilities in the fair housing context.
Ms. Lee-Nozaki is a 2006 graduate of Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where she was the Chief Articles Editor for the Loyola of Los Angeles International & Comparative Law Review. While in law school, she was on the Dean’s List and received the First Honors Award in Trial Advocacy. She also participated in the 2004-2005 ABA Negotiation Competition, taking second place in the 9th Circuit and ninth place nationally. During law school, Ms. Lee-Nozaki was a law clerk with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, where she conducted preliminary hearings and juvenile adjudication proceedings. Ms. Lee-Nozaki received her B.A. in Political Science and Asian American Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Ms. Lee-Nozaki is admitted to practice in the state of California and in the United States District Court, Central District of California. She is fluent in Korean.
